On October 7, 2026, a stretch of Mojave Desert off historic Route 66 became the starting line for one of the largest solar-plus-storage projects in the United States. ContourGlobal officially broke ground on Project Sterling in Topock, Arizona, and Venz Media was proud to be part of the team that made the day happen.

About Project Sterling
Project Sterling is a hybrid solar-plus-storage facility about 20 miles north of Lake Havasu City in Mohave County. Once complete, it will be ContourGlobal’s largest renewable asset worldwide.

Our Role
Venz Media supported the groundbreaking from the first media pitch to the final frame.

A remote site, state officials, executives from overseas and live media all in one morning leaves no room for error. Our job was to make sure every moment was covered and every guest’s story was told.
